Leak detectors

Compressed air is one of the most expensive forms of energy. In Germany alone, 60,000 pneumatic systems consume 14,000,000,000 kWh of electricity annually. 15 to 20% of this could easily be saved (Peter Radgen, Fraunhofer Institute, Karlsruhe). A large part of these costs are caused by leaks in compressed air systems. The air "escapes" without being used. In addition to a practical and economic aspect, active leakage detection contributes to reducing CO₂ emissions.

Leaks in compressed air systems cause thousands of euros in losses. Actively detecting leaks is important and makes a positive contribution to energy savings and CO₂ reduction. When compressed air and/or gas escapes through leakage, an ultrasonic sound is produced that can be detected by the SUTO S530 or SUTO S531 even from a few meters away. The SUTO leak detector converts these inaudible signals into a frequency that can be easily heard using the supplied noise-isolating headphones. The integrated laser pointer helps to identify the leak from a distance. In pressure-free systems, an ultrasonic tone generator can be used whose sound will leak through small openings.

Areas of application, including:
- Leak detection in overpressure and vacuum systems
- Insulation test of doors and windows
